Consider situations in which you find your wishes differing from those of another person. How do you usually respond? On the following pages are several pairs of statements describing possible responses. For each pair, please check the “A” or “B” statement that is most characteristic of your own behavior. It may be that neither the “A” nor the “B” statement will be very typical of your choice, but please select the response which you would be more likely to use. If you sense your responses may be different with certain people, plan on taking the test twice. The first time through make sure you answer each question by selecting the response you would most likely use. If you think you might react differently with a particular person, gender or group…take the instrument again using a red pencil this time. On the score sheet, tally your answers in each column accordingly to see how different your approach to each might be. Remember to mark the response you would most likely use.
